@AlaskaComm I had called and arranged a visit-- The on-site was scheduled but techs never showed. When I called, I was told techs had come on site earlier that week and determined we wouldn't qualify. I work from home and live with 30 dogs-- I get a good alert when people come around.

@AlaskaComm my landline phone has now been out of service for 2 months. You admitted there’s a short in the line but have done nothing to fix. My husband is a cardiac patient - I can’t call 911 if I needed to. Quit passing the buck back to GCI & fix my phone!!!!

@AlaskaComm Yeah, I've done that. We're not slated for upgrades despite being long-time customers. It's extremely frustrating as neighbors only 0.5mi away have (slightly) better service than we do.

@AlaskaComm @njdepo Well, according to GCI several trouble tickets were sent to you. The last one resulted in your tech asking the GCI tech to come out here on 7/16 and test something for them and contact your tech when they were out here. Who's lying?

@gomer2323 @jguil4d @AlaskaComm How I got through is by starting dialing right before 8 am over and over until I was 1st in the queue. Calls before 8 are rejected. Also Mondays & Fridays are worst days to call.

@gomer2323 @jguil4d @AlaskaComm Ever get through? Their call center is woefully understaffed. I spent days a couple months ago, once I reached real humans they got someone out and fixed the lines and reduced my bill for 7 days without service.

@AlaskaComm @njdepo My phone account is with GCI. They have sent you several requests for service to fix this; your response was you were aware of a short in the line. NOTHING has been done to fix this. GCI keeps sending in trouble tickets/requests for repair service - You keep ignoring them.

@AlaskaComm Yes. I can only get 1mbps service in my neighborhood, which is @ 1 mile from your hqts. And I only get that because I'm grandfathered in. But agents say if I were a business I could get faster. Treat me as an honorary business and give me faster internet.

@AlaskaComm customer support phone -have been on hold for 2 hours now with awful music and every 30 seconds an assurance that someone will be with me shortly. My email request auto response says they'll respond w/i 5 business days. A business that's been/being sold. It sucks.

Was never told where I was in the queue, how much longer I’d have to wait, or given the option to leave a message for a call back. 🤬Was trying to switch service from GCI… 😖Hope your issue was resolved!
